  • MIKE PATTERSON, CHAIRMAN

    Owner, Commercial Realty Services of West GA

    Mike founder Commercial Realty Services of West Georgia in 2006. He offers a broad spectrum of service and experience for commercial investment real estate, and enjoys helping people reach their goals and best position themselves for success. Mike retired from the United States Army Reserve in 1994 with the rank of Major after serving a total of 22 years in the Guard and Reserve and held several command positions as an armor officer.

    Community involvement is important to Mike. As a result, Mike has served as the Chairman of the Board for The Blake House since 2012. He served 6 years on the Carrollton City Council, serves on the board of the West Metro Fellowship of Christian Athletes, has been a member of the West Georgia Military Officers Association of America since 1991, and serves as president of the Carroll County Sertoma (Service to Mankind) Club through 2022.

    Mike’s faith is paramount. He was an elder for five years at First Christian Church in Carrollton. After a two-week mission trip to India in 2004, Mike continues to support the South India Christian Missions. Mike has been married to his wife, Peggy, for 29 years and they have four children.

  • STEVE SODEL

    President & Partner, Autumn Glen Management Group, Inc.

    Steve began his career in the senior living industry in 1993, starting in the finance and capital-raising space. Four years later, he transitioned to the development and operations/management of senior living communities.

    Over the years, he has been involved in senior living, his expertise has been in executing growth strategies and profit optimization for the companies in which he has been involved.

    Steve’s first experience with The Blake House was in 2015 when his son entered the program. He has remained actively involved with The Blake House since, including: being an engaged donor, participating in a TBH Inner Healing class for men outside of the program in 2016, and joining the Board of Directors in 2019. Steve has been married to his wife for 28 years, Kelley, and they have two adult children, Shad and Morgan.

  • KELEN OWENS

    Founder/Executive Director, Elevate Counseling Center

    Kelen, coming from a difficult past, chose to use her adversity to find healing and ultimately a career in counseling. She has been in counseling since 2005, working with Tanner Behavioral Center as well as local businesses and churches. In 2017, Kelen began the non-profit, no-minimum donation Elevate Counseling Center, which is based in the never-failing truth of Christ’s love for each of us that He has for each of us. As a result, Kelen has connected with several local non-profits, but one has always been very connected to the heart of Elevate--The Blake House. She has been a part of TBH since 2011, teaching and counseling the men in the program. In 2013, Kelen joined the board of TBH and continues to support them in teaching and counseling. Kelen is a faithful follower of Jesus and considers her faith to be of the utmost importance in her life. Kelen has been married for 27 years to her husband, Mike, and they have 3 children.y into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.   • KENDYL STRICKLAND

    President of Strickland & Company PC; President of Strickland Davis Advisors, LLC

    Kendyl began his career in accounting in 1981. He became a CPA in 1988 and twelve year later, he started his own firm, Strickland & Company, Co. Over the past 28 years, the firm has grown to an 18-perso firm specializing in small business accounting and tax services. Kendyl also started an investment management firm in 1998. He took on a partner and started Strickland David Advisors, LLC in 2016.

    Kendyl became involved with The Blake House in 2011 when his youngest son, Michael, entered the program. He has remained actively involved, raising money for the organization, and became a Board Member in 2019. Kendyl has been married to his wife, Amy, for 23 years.
